How to Switch the Binance App to Chinese? Where to Find the Language Settings

· About 14 min

Why the Binance App May Not Show a Chinese Interface

If you just downloaded and installed the Binance app and found the interface in English, don't worry—this is normal. English interfaces typically appear for the following reasons:

Phone system language influence. The Binance app sometimes automatically selects its display language based on your phone's system language. If your phone's system language is set to English (for example, if you temporarily switched the system language when downloading with an overseas Apple ID), the app may default to English.

Download region influence. App versions downloaded from overseas app stores may default to the local language or English.

The app's own settings. Sometimes the app's language setting is set to "Follow System," and if the system language isn't Chinese, the app won't display Chinese.

The good news is that the Binance app supports multiple languages, including Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, and the switching process is very simple.

Steps to Switch to Chinese in the App

Here are the switching methods for Android and iOS. They're largely the same, with only slight differences in interface layout.

Android phone switching method:

  1. Open the Binance app
  2. Tap the avatar icon in the upper left corner (or "More"/"Profile" in the bottom navigation bar)
  3. Scroll down and find the "Language" option, tap to enter
  4. Find "Simplified Chinese" (or "Chinese (Simplified)") in the language list and tap to select
  5. The app will automatically reload and the interface will switch to Chinese

If you can't find the language settings (because everything is in English), remember this path: tap the avatar, find the option with a globe icon, and select the entry with Chinese characters in the list.

iPhone switching method:

  1. Open the Binance app
  2. Tap "Profile" or the profile icon in the bottom right corner
  3. Tap the settings gear icon in the upper right corner
  4. Find the "Language" option
  5. Select "Simplified Chinese"
  6. Confirm and the app will switch languages

In some versions, you can also find the language switching entry at the bottom of the login page, allowing you to change the language to Chinese even without logging in.

How to Switch to Chinese on the Web Version

If you're using the Binance web version on a computer, switching languages is equally simple:

Method 1: Switch via the page footer.

At the very bottom (footer area) of any page on the Binance website, there's usually a language selector. It may appear as the current language name (such as "English") with a globe icon. Click it and select "Simplified Chinese" from the language list.

Method 2: Switch via the top navigation bar.

In the top navigation bar, there's sometimes a language switching icon (usually a globe or the current language abbreviation). Click it to switch languages as well.

Method 3: Via URL parameter.

If you're comfortable with web operations, you can add a language parameter directly to the URL. For example, adding "?lang=zh-CN" to the end of the URL may directly switch to the Simplified Chinese interface.

Things to Note After Switching Languages

Cryptocurrency names won't be translated. After switching to Chinese, most interface text will change to Chinese, but cryptocurrency names (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum) and codes (such as BTC, ETH) will remain in English. This is normal—cryptocurrencies are globally identified by their English names and codes.

Some announcements may not have a Chinese version. Some official Binance announcements may be published in English first, with Chinese translations delayed by a few hours. If you see an important announcement without a Chinese version yet, you can wait or use your browser's translation feature.

Customer service language. After switching the app language to Chinese, contacting online support usually automatically assigns Chinese-speaking staff. However, during certain time periods, the queue for Chinese support may be longer. You can also choose English support (if your English is adequate), which may have shorter wait times.

Email notification language. After switching the app language, the language of email notifications from Binance may not automatically change. To receive email notifications in Chinese, you may need to set this separately in "Notification Preferences" or "Communication Language" in your account settings.

Other Language Options

Beyond Simplified Chinese, the Binance app supports these Chinese-related language options:

Traditional Chinese. If you prefer traditional characters (such as users in Hong Kong or Taiwan), you can select "Traditional Chinese" or "Chinese (Traditional)."

Total languages supported by Binance. The Binance app supports a very wide range of languages, including English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Turkish, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Portuguese, and dozens more. If you have friends from other countries who want to use Binance, they can almost certainly find their native language.

What to Do If the Language Switch Doesn't Take Effect

If you followed the steps above but the language didn't switch successfully, try these methods:

Close and reopen the app. Some versions require completely exiting the app (not just switching to the background, but closing it from the recent tasks screen) and reopening for changes to take effect.

Clear app cache. Android users can find the Binance app's storage option in phone settings and clear the cache before reopening. iOS users can uninstall and reinstall to achieve the same effect.

Check app version. Make sure you're using the latest version of the Binance app. Older versions may have language switching bugs.

Check phone system language. If the app's language setting is set to "Follow System," you'll need to first change your phone's system language to Chinese. Both Android and iOS allow this in "Language and Input" (or "Language & Region") in system settings.

Generally speaking, language switching is a very simple operation, and 99% of the time following the steps above will work smoothly. Switching to Chinese will greatly improve your user experience, especially when it comes to understanding various feature descriptions and security notifications.
